Physical Therapy in Bellevue, WA
The Root Cause, Not the Runaround
Pain and stiffness usually have a driver underneath them that rest alone doesn't fix. We find what's actually going on, treat it hands-on, and build you back to the training, work, and daily life you're missing.

Working Around Pain Isn't the Same as Fixing It.
Rest Helps Until You Load It Again
Pain calms down when you back off and returns the moment you train, lift, or move the way you need to — because what's driving it hasn't changed.
You're Managing It, Not Fixing It
Modifying movements, skipping activities, and working around pain gets you through the day. But the limitation is still there, and it isn't going anywhere on its own.
Compensation Spreads to New Areas
When one area is guarded, nearby joints and muscles pick up load they weren't built to carry. New aches tend to follow the ones you already have.
Care Built Around What's Actually Limiting You
Every plan at Continua Physio starts with a real look at what's driving your pain or limitation — not a generic checklist. Hands-on treatment, targeted exercise, and performance progressions follow from there, one provider, one hour at a time.

What Physical Therapy May Help Address
People come to us when pain, stiffness, or a nagging limitation is getting in the way of training, work, or daily life. We look at what's driving it and address it from there.
Low Back and Neck Pain — Aching, stiffness, or sharp pain that flares with sitting, bending, or loading and keeps interrupting training and daily movement.
Shoulder Pain — Aching or weakness that limits reaching, pressing, or overhead activity without aggravating the joint.
Knee Pain — Pain, swelling, or instability that limits squatting, running, or loading the joint with confidence.
Hip Pain and Restriction — Deep hip tightness or pain limiting stride, training load, or the ability to move freely without guarding.
Headaches and Dizziness — Recurring tension-type headaches or balance issues that may be connected to movement restrictions rather than a standalone problem.
Elbow, Wrist, and Hand Pain — Overuse pain from lifting, racket sports, or repetitive movement that limits grip strength and daily function.
Ankle and Foot Pain — Instability, sprains, or heel pain limiting push-off, running, and confidence on uneven ground.
Arthritis and General Overuse — Joint stiffness or repetitive-strain pain that interferes with training, work, or daily activity — often manageable with the right loading strategy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions before your first physical therapy appointment at Continua Physio.
Your first appointment is a thorough evaluation — how you move, where you're limited, and what's actually driving the problem. From there we build a plan that typically combines hands-on treatment, targeted exercise, and a structured progression. Every session is one-on-one with your physical therapist for the full hour.
No — you can come in without a referral, imaging, or a prior diagnosis. We run our own movement assessment to understand what's limiting you and what needs addressing. If imaging would be useful, we'll let you know, but most issues can be fully evaluated without it.
It depends on what's driving the problem and how long it's been there. Many people notice meaningful changes within a few sessions. After your evaluation, we'll give you a realistic timeline — including what progress should look like at each stage and how long a full course of care usually runs.
We work with active adults and athletes dealing with back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle pain, along with headaches, dizziness, and general overuse issues. If pain or a nagging limitation is getting in the way of training or daily life, we can help you find out what's driving it.
Continua Physio is a cash-based practice. We don't bill insurance directly, but we provide superbills you can submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement. HSA and FSA payments are accepted. Check with your insurer about your out-of-network PT benefits before your first visit.
